He's perfect for us under Moyes. Hopefully the photo of him in Liverpool yesterday around our new ground is true and we get him signed pronto. Could be the catalyst for others to follow.

Faster than Beattie, stronger than Beattie, more skill, better first touch, better passer, can beat a player which Beattie never could . Other than that they're identical.

I meant in Moyes' first spell rather than now. There are a lot more teams above us these days!!
  • hallamblue
Indeed, that's why it was important that we beat all the teams below us, because we sure as heck never beat any of those above us away!
  • hallamblue
Yes it's been a recurring theme for a few years now. When we're "supposed" to win a game we struggle to break teams down. Moyes was very good at beating the teams we were above in the table in his first spell, let's hope he can do it again.

We can't afford not to sign these 2. Our squad is paper thin and they're both available on frees and home grown players. KWP goes straight in our team at right back and Gomes and Garner are best mates so would surely work well in central...

Harrison was only available on loan because Leeds were in the Championship and he had a clause in his contract. Leeds will be looking to sell him for £15 - £20 million.

I think he sees himself as number 9 for one of the top clubs, whether he's right or not we shall see.
  • hallamblue
I suppose you can't blame him but he's only 22 and there are countless players who've failed when they haven't taken that "middle rung" of going to a club better than theirs but not at the very top
  • hallamblue
So you're basing your opinion on the player based on one appearance against the team with one of the best defensive records in the country? Seems fair! No disrespect to your judgement but Chelsea, Newcastle, Man United, Everton and I would...
  • hallamblue
Chelsea, Newcastle and Man United all want him
  • hallamblue
Wow that is a relegation battling squad if ever I saw one. We need at least 4 or 5 first team players, and then hope they stay fit.
  • hallamblue
It's not just the goals. His hold-up play is good. He runs the channels, his passing is good, and he's got a bit of snide about him. He would have been a perfect Everton number 9, but I'm sure he'll do well at Newcastle, which is where I think...

In the Guardian, apparently his representatives have told clubs that he's only interested in top of the table/ clubs in Europe.
