Very solid signing. If he maintains fitness he will be a significant upgrade. As just about everyone else has said , money saved on decent free signings allows us to prioritise our budget/ spend on RW ,CF and CM.

He'd be a fool to play a centre half out of position over a right back with plenty of premier league experience. Injury permitting, he 100% starts.

I know he'll be a RB for us primarily, but interestingly he played CB at youth levels where he was a serial winner. Captained Jong Ajax occasionality so there's leadership qualities there, too.
