I’m yet to be convinced we actually have the finances to do that. We’ve spent a fair chunk of coin on Barry out of absolute necessity due to Calvert Lewis leaving, but as to the overall budget, that is still to be determined.

As we stand it’s been a disappointing start to the window. It’s not “bed wetting” or “soiling your undies” to say that, it just has.
So much needs to be done, and I’m pretty sure everyone here (including those who clearly won’t admit it) would...
It’s now down to the new owners.
The fans continue to back the team (and swallow ticket price increases for now) but if the owners can’t improve the squad we will eventually go down.
As it stands, transfer wise we’ve not done much of note.
Despite the fanfare and promises we’ve extended contracts, made a loan a permanent and bought a youngster with potential.
Promises of ambitious elite players hasn’t delivered at all.
Everyone else seems to be making signings without clubs stalling them to find their replacement. Even we did it with Barry. It’s not an excuse. We have a squad of 15 useable players.
