About Soucek. I really don't understand why we would want him. The last few weeks we have been bidding/buying/loaning players like Dibling, Grealish, Fofana, KDH. All either pure quality, lots of potential or in their prime with good footballing...
If Moyes buys Soucek, one can only conclude that, with the best will in the world, he is wedded to ordinariness.
Soucek was a decent player for what he was, but there is a terrible whiff of Moyes staying well within his conservative comfort zone...
I still haven’t come back down to earth yet after yesterday.
(to be fair, it is a long way down from the 61st row of our new reidence 😕)
One thing that struck me yesterday morning was how visible Everton was in the city centre.
A constant...
Personally I rate him, always have. He’s not top drawer by any means but he’s calm, good technique, can tackle, can pick a pass, can protect the ball and has an engine on him. Basically he can do all the basics very well.
I thought he was very good yesterday, better than I expected tbh.
The makings of a very decent player in time. I think we certainly got the better of that deal.
KT doing well again.
It's been disappointing seeing so many write him off considering the start to the season he had last season in the first 3 or 4 games.
Against Bournemouth for 70 mins he was outstanding and put in one of the best midfield performances we've seen...
Yeah , obviously.
But conversationally, from my observation, I don’t think he is good enough.
My preference for a lower division signing would be Hackney , different position but a far more intelligent and skilful player at that level.
The squad should be strong enough to win this one with numerous changes. Happy to see the likes of travers, aznou, mcneil, Armstrong, and Alcaraz come in from the weekend. I’d keep Barry in as it’s a chance for him to get off the mark.
