This is a great point but clubs are forced to sell their souls now since Chelsea and Man City changed the whole dynamics with their ownerships. The PL would be much better with the Bundesliga rules on ownership

Isn't the 12 million fee quoted not his wages for the season AND the loan fee? Can't be arsed doing the maths but seems we're allegedly happy to pay somewhere between 100-150k pw of his wages so that and a loan fee would be about 12 million?
