We're the 25th richest club in world football according to Deloitte's 2025 figures. Given a few league position rises, a new stadium and so on, it's likely we're back in the top 20. I agree we should be sensible, but our financial situation and...

Yeah it isn’t, I’m not saying it would, just saying he’s the type of midfielder that would fit in well here. My worry is that if 2/3 of our starting midfield next season reads Alcaraz and Gueye then we are severely short in pace and power in...

This is Brighton and Fulham talk, and not Newcastle and Villa talk. It’s possible to spend good money without spunking it up the wall. It’s also possible to waste supposedly smaller spending on absolute dross like Maupay. Personally, I’m sick...

So in the region of what we have been paying Doucoure. We were paying Arteta 75k a week about two decades ago during the Kenwright austerity years.

Totally agree that he’d be a great signing. He’s one that will go to Newcastle or Man Utd though - different scenario to Delap for me

I think he's on buttons at Brentford, and that he will do well to get Doucoure level wages outside of Saudi.

Our need for a second striker that isn't absolutely crap outweighs our need for a superstar winger, I get that. But there are actually only three years between Delap and Mbuemo. Delap is 22 and Mbuemo is 25, but Mbuemo's goal scoring and assists...

You may be correct, but my understanding is that a 60 million pound player on a five year contract sets the PSR books back by 12 million a year, which should be well within our affordability imo.

Personally, I'd be overjoyed if we managed to get Mbuemo for 50 - 60 million. At 50 million, he'd cost just a bit more than Anthony Gordon cost the Barcodes, but he'd provide double the output! It's also the same price that we sold Onana to...

I agree but I always worry that Everton get the most expensive worst option. E.g we shell out 40 million for Siggurdson whilst the top clubs are picking up the younger better players for often an even cheaper price Basically I don’t want us...

You are correct, but there's only so many super duper clubs to go around. If the RS are getting Wirtz, then they aren't getting Cherki. If City are getting Cherki, then they aren't getting Mbuemo. If Newcastle get Mbuemo, then they aren't getting...

So is Ndiaye. Regardless, Everton aren't going to be buying Ramsey, and they certainly aren't going to incorporate Branthwaite into this imaginary transaction.

Ndiaye scored 800 percent more goals than him last season, and is by far the superior midfielder. We won't be in for him.

FFS, the transfer news on Google is full of journalists harping on about how Everton are so crap that they can offer other team's cast-offs guaranteed first team football. It wrecks my head! He's a left midfielder that is inferior to Ndiaye. I...
