I agree with this. I think he would have been a useful player for us, but let's not pretend we're missing out on the next Harry Kane. Had he gone to Newcastle, I would have felt he was a smart lad. Now, he might prove to be even smarter than that...

If I were him, Chelsea are actually the last of his choices I'd have gone with. Don't think he's a particularly good fit from a style perspective. Still, we move on. Bring me big Nick Woltemade and we'll forget Delap jr ever existed

He’ll regret that…chelsea collect players like they are going out of fashion. So many get forgotten about or loaned and you forget even played for them. Could have come here been top man Oh well move on

I think Maresca worked with him at City's academy, so there may be a bit of history there and he's tempted to work with someone who he's already worked with.

Just cannot see the attraction to Chelsea myself. The clubs just soulless and a bit meh. That manager has got “sacked by November” on him I’m obviously biased but I’d say we make sense for him as do Newcastle (bar Isak)
