    Sir Landon Of Donovan

If a deal does not get reached in a couple of days (and it looks like that is likely to happen) then Donovan stays at Everton through the remainder of the season. In fact, MLS might just sell him for what Everton is willing to offer on a perm deal.

    Sir Landon Of Donovan

Regardless of what MLS says, they want to sell him. They want to make a profit. They might be willing to hold out for a higher offer, but I think they need to strike while the skillet is hot. He may have a good World Cup, but then he may not. There is also a risk he could get injured, but then...

    Everton 3-1 Manchester United. Saturday 20th February @ 12.45.

You might get to keep Donovan past the 10 weeks if MLS and the Players Union fail to reach an agreement in their contract negotiations. "And with word breaking late Friday that talks have stalled between MLS and its player's union toward a new CBS, perhaps there's an increasing chance Donovan...

    Everton 3-1 Manchester United. Saturday 20th February @ 12.45.

I live in Tampa in the states and am a fan of the American Football team here (Buccaneers) who are owned by the Glazers who ironically also own Manchester United. I cannot stand the Glazers. I loved seeing them lose today. Way to go Everton!

    Man of the match

Since Donovan has joined the team, they are playing fantastic. They have 1 loss in the league since he came on board and that was a game they should have at least got a draw in. The whole team looks dangerous from left to right. It's hard to key in and force the ball one way. Oppossing teams...

For those of you who think Landon has shone his best game... he hasn't... he is a goal scoring machine. I am waiting for a game where he scores a couple of quality goals to make the Everton supporters very very happy, even though they are tremendously pleased with him already.

    Sir Landon Of Donovan

Food for thought. Soccer aka Football is the number 1 youth sport in the states. Before MLS, once kids go to high school, then college, where do they go then? The coaching and level of competition has gotten better. MLS though must compete with American Football (aka HandEgg), Baseball...

#41 is my favorite because it's against a fully loaded Brazil squad.

MLS and Galaxy are playing hardball. They want to sell him. Moyes is playing hardball... he wants to buy. LD wants to stay. Something has got to give.

The problem with Bocanegra was that his passing is not that great and he always seemed to lose possession of the ball.

    Sir Landon Of Donovan

Having Dani Alves and Lucio is not exactly "weakness" at the back. I think Brazil was pressing for the equalizer, they got caught and Donovan made them pay like an assassin. I was hoping he would do that against Liverpool, but he just passed the ball instead of trying to make something happen...

Sad that Cole got hurt on a challenge. I know Donovan and it wasn't intentional. He is not a dirty player. Hopefully he will be back in time for the WC.

You made my point. Buying Donovan will pay for itself from a financial standpoint. They will gain a huge following in the states.

    Penalty takers

MLS locked him up so he could go out on Loan. It was the only way they could loan him. MLS wants to sell him, which is why the locked him up. MLS is a business and they are content with letting the best US player leave if the price is right. If Everton signs him, they will earn their money...
