Keane as a starter is abysmal but keane as a 4th choice cb is a decent option.
We quite simply dont have the money to spend on trying to entice a new cb to come and sit on the bench, let alone have the money to bring in a starting cb.

Esteve is a left sided centre half, there couldn’t be a worse move for him than somewhere an elite young left sided centre half has just signed a 5 year deal. He would not entertain the move for one second.
I for one am furious that we won't be spending £50m on somebody who would be next in line after the 3rd choice centre half and immediately before the 5th choice centre half but definitely not be 4th choice centre half.

We have got to back this lad massively from the off, cant be seeing nagative crap about his stats or age, or lack of trophies etc.
