In my feverish search for anything at all about transfer news and rumors, I stumbled across a Leeds site pulling up Angus Kinnear's response when Jack Harrison asked to come to Everton on loan. He said he thought it was "surprising." Having a...

Brandizzle will surely be on £80k+ by the end of the summer if he's not sold. He'll be in a great position to have his agent negotiate a new deal - and he'd be worth it. Even though he won't even be able to spend £35k a week as it's so much...

Branthwaite is on £35k and your £3m/yr guess would put Alcaraz on £60k.

What’s horrible is assuming Alcaraz would be paid almost twice Branthwaite’s wages. It’s more likely that in the interests of all parties, and with an eye to PSR, the club was given flexibility in structuring and optionally extending the deal and...

How is it a horrible deal from a PSR perspective? The club have likely structured it this way to allow for flexibility around PSR. The option gives the club the ability to retain Charly, sell him for a profit, or extend amortization to reduce...

Terrible signing. And what’s worse, probably the first of several terrible signings - which will see us do better next season than this. Awful.

as has been mentioned, his position is the one position we have strength in. Also he lacks pace. We need an injection of pace as well as quality on the right side.

No, the only reason we are talking about him is that he would be a terrible signing. But it has more than a whiff of inevitability about it.

I'm concerned that so many people keep talking about Callum Wilson like he'd be a good signing. Not only is he 33 and has lost his legs, he's hurt every year — 5 times for 28 or more games. I'll take a pass on this bag of old, brittle bones.

I want McNeil on the right with a blazing attacking fullback behind him. Dwight is more creative from the right, and works hard enough defensively that such a pairing could be perfect for him.

The only thing I knew about Delap was watching him against us and Daz and Snods being thoroughly unimpressed with his poor performance and especially his poor decision making as he was unnecessarily aggressive at all the wrong times. I remember...

There was a recent article somewhere about Beto's hope that Charly remains. He said that their styles fit so well together because Charly likes to drive with the ball and put passes in ahead of him, and that before every game, Charly tells him...

I imagine the bit about needing to reach a deal with Flamengo wasn't about negotiating the transfer or settling on a fee, but structuring the payments relative to PSR.

I'm pretty sure the deal was a loan with a buy option that became an obligation if certain conditions were met. Even bypassing the obligation, there wasn't a chance of someone swooping in if they exercised the option and worked out the details...

That's fantastic. It'll also not be all upfront, probably spread out over two years, so six million pounds per year will barely even touch our PSR.
