Has to be said that we signed 2 22y old with Charly and Barry and likely with 19 years old to follow. And the links we mostly got with wingers is that the aim is to sign rather a young player. But yet, experience is also needed and leadership on the pitch.

It's the controversy, when you've been a low scoring team several seasons before Dyche and get a manager that's known for a low scoring record. But it really hurt when Elanga picked Forest over us as apparently reported.

    2024/25 Nathan Patterson

It was in these periods when Young had a few games of bad spell that we didn't try out something else, I'm not talking about last autumn, where he was probably a top 3 player (in a bad squad). More like 23/24.

I was frustrated at times why Ashley Young (who was average mostly) started over him mostly, but the more I see him on the pitch, the more I understand.

A little bit less reliable than Ornstein, but he's pretty credible. Especially in terms of Bundesliga as he's German.

I mean Ndiaye did the same for us, and did it well, despite playing 90% of his games before either on 10 or ST.

I know that means we still don't have a player that plays rid mid/wing as a main position. However, Ndiaye has barely played left side in his career before joining us and he did very good in majority. As Alcaraz and McNeil they can fill any of the 3 positions.

    2024/25 David Moyes

We would, it's good to see that, but very dangerous for himself, cause he gets measured on that.

Liverpool (is the rival), but they are doing the right thing, as they were quite modest with spending the years before. It's easy to say we won title, we go on like that, but they extended their 2 most important players + a couple of promising signings that show ambition. For me it felt like it...

I am not scared of the transferal situation by now, but I'd thought that we'd be further in the process by the end of July. First of all, we could start the planning quite early, we secured PL much earlier (we didn't need to plan for 2 divisions), the PSR situation looks better, we have...

It's obligatory to set release clause for a player (often much higher than an actual transfer value) in La Liga mainly due to the Spanish law as footballers are by law the same as workers with a contract that can buy themselves out of a contract. :)

Jep, they are not easy to negotiate with. However, release clauses are always mandatory in any case. Asking price is around 30-35m. I know from local sources here in Basque that there are talks between Everton and Sociedad, but also other clubs being interested in Kubo, but I can't tell how far...

As big as a name Everton is historically, potential player surely don't neglect what happened in recent years. It's sometimes the hard current reality that you should be in the race with players that Newcastle or Villa get, but currently it's Forest, Fulham or Bournemouth.

Should Everton have done more in the transfer market by now?

Probably yes, but if you see other teams they are not further in the process.
