It's obligatory to set release clause for a player (often much higher than an actual transfer value) in La Liga mainly due to the Spanish law as footballers are by law the same as workers with a contract that can buy themselves out of a contract. :)

Nah, as we sacked Mr slow start and the fixtures are Wolves, Leeds and Brighton - 3 teams we can realistically get points from - it might look on paper as we get points again.

All I'm trying to show people is that regardless of transfers, our strongest XI shouldn't be throwing away August games again.
I mean it's not a perfect eleven, but basically one that got 31 points in 19 games with a good manager. It's a decent point to start from, but surely need depth and some quality, to not have a bench that's as frightening as around February/March.
