Even if it’s true, (which it won’t be) it’d likely be financially jiggery pokery. Buy the lad for £30 million, 5 year contract meaning £6 million a year on our PSR. Roma pay us a loan fee of £6 million and his wages, no impact on Everton.

And if we buy him, loan him to Roma for a year to get experience then bring him over to be our starting RB?
