If we had regularly finished in the top six we could bed in youngsters in the "easier games" given our real position no manager is going to risk losing important points by playing kids.

Our youth system isn't, but the club for the best part of 2 decades hasn't had a clue how to develop a player once they reach first team age outside of farming them out on loan which I think mightve been closer to his point.

It isn’t really though is it. Compared to most mid table PL clubs in the same period we’ve had some very good players come through. How many other mid table PL teams have had players as good as Rooney Rodwell Barkley Gordon come through? Even...

I think getting 25-30 games under his belt in a difficult physical league will benefit him more than that, must be great training with players of Grealish calibre and I'm sure it helps to an extent, but I think he'd prefer to get games rather...
