Obviously the club had to put the wall in for safety reasons but you can see how it affects the stand. I'm guessing the upper part, which is huge, barely stand up during the game?
I've just read that the lower part is 5,000 and the upper is...
I was always shocked when I sat elsewhere in the ground to the Street End how quiet everyone was. Even for big games so many just sat in silence for the majority of the match. You throw a lot of those people behind the goal into the South Stand...
I missed the Brighton game because of work, so Villa was my first league game.
I think the atmosphere was very Goodison-esque. One of those games where a goal would have lit the blue touch paper.
It’s going to take a while to sort itself out...
Even the other day every article I read on Chelsea being given 74 charges was clear in saying they'll avoid a points deduction if found guilty. The whole of football just shrugs it shoulders when they continously flout the rules. Farcical stuff.
From what I've seen, their games seem very similar. Barry might have a bit more about him with the ball at his feet but at this stage I think Beto is probably the better one to lead the line.
Hopefully we can at least ask some questions of them defensively, but I'm not sure we'll get enough of the ball to be able to do that.
I'm confident we'll keep it respectable but there's just too much fire power for them not to get 3 points...
Unfortunately I think it's just far more likely they just start to play well. These first 4 games where they haven't been great are exactly the moments where you need them to drop points. The fact they've still ground it out doesn't bode well.
