I will say with what's going on with the striker market, getting Barry early and for the price we did seems extremely extremely good already. We'll see in a year or two but we may well look back on that as a great bit of business for this summer
24/25 - 4 goals / 8 assists in 21 games
23/24 - 3 goals / 6 assists in 35 games
22/23 - 7 goals / 3 assists in 36 games
I'd say those are decent number for a £15m player considering most of that time was playing under Sean Dyche.
Never understood the hate McNeil gets. I understand he's slow and one-footed but he gets decent numbers every year. Always high on chances created too. If we sign a great right winger he can become a really solid bench option for attacking mid/wing.
How long left on a contract means absolutely squat if some other club ignores that as a factor when bidding, if under a normal length contract you value a player as worth say 30m then refusing to go above 20 cos he has one year left whilst...
