I think Remco is quality but the standard set by Jonas and Tadej is just a different level even Primoz looks ordinary next to these two.

I read an interview where he said that he feels he can't compete with Pog and JV. For a rider with so much talent he looks completely beaten, out of ideas.

I feel for Remco. He seems actually human. Has good days, has bad days. Pogacar just wins. He never has a bad day anymore.

What kind of riding are you thinking of doing? Bikes seem to have become extremely expensive in recent years, so whatever you go for, you might do well in the 2nd hand market.

As a point of reference, Pantani's Alp d'Huez record had a VAM of 1829. Pogacar's ride yesterday was 1854. When he (and others) blitzed Pantani's record on Plateau de Beille last year, I think he had a VAM of 1875. Since Covid, it's noticeable...

I suppose just try and do a good TT today and see the lay of the land after that. If they're another 90 seconds behind then there's not really much hope.
