The guy’s biggest footballing assets are his floppy hair (that the every Everton SuperDa will hate) and his unerring talent for strategically falling over (which will also wind up the SuperDas).
So that’s a big YES from me.
oh I don't know. he's 29, not 33.
He'll be playing for a world cup squad place
and he'll be a big fish in a small pond.
Pep used him fairly conservatively.
Well worth an expensive loan.
You're looking for an argument where it doesn't exist. I am not advocating to upgrade our third-best player this summer. I'm just not as horrified at the thought of him moving position to accommodate a more accomplished player as you appear to be.
It feels like that Bournemouth game and some of the interviews in the past week have given the recruitment team an almighty kick up the buttocks. We seem to have woken up a tad to the urgency of the situation.
Actually think Maitland-Niles could be a smart buy if the fee is low. Definitely the sort of ball playing/defensive cover we need on the right side.
Maybe with Fofana in front of him...
We had a frigging 40 year old playing RB the other week...lets stop acting daft when it comes players ages.
Like I said if it happens I think its stop gap for the time being.
Surprised Maitland Niles is causing a stink among some. Perfectly solid right back, Moyes has specifically said he wants a couple of players over 25 with prem experience and that feels like a safe way to tick that box. Not the sexiest signing but...
Having another Garner level player on a free might not be a bad thing. If Iroehbunam goes on loan and we got Brownhill it’s swapping out one backup option that’s not ready for one backup option that would be at minimal cost. Luiz, Gana, Garner...
