I think watching this, it is very apparent that apart from Armstrong none of the other young lads are anywhere near the 1st team. -

I've seen us play really well pre season and then start the season terribly and vise versa. It really doesn't make a difference

BThe CL is an invite too - mostly to teams who aren't champions of their own league. That competition gave up on legitimate (champion) competitors decades ago. It has an appalling standard until the KO stages. Then it gets to about a level below...

BSigned 3 players (once this gk is done) and gave new contracts to 4 first team/squad players before the middle of July. I hate this new Everton.

That is fascinating. So apparently Mosh lead them on, all documents were signed, and Textor was just sitting waiting for wiring instructions that they kept not sending until they sealed the deal with TFG. The interview makes more sense now.
