Celik is pretty nondescript / average which sometimes has be to fair enough if you're on a budget and need 8-10 players. If you were looking for experience and adding squad options then he ticks those boxes. Not great, not bad.

I find it hard in general to see deals being done between the clubs over time. Not because of raised eyebrows, more that a deal that suits both clubs at the same...
I think the crux of how this would work and how it benefits both teams is by having Zeki Çelik come the other way. He's in the last year of his contract, and Everton have a small squad. Çelik is a consolation for Kenny Tete, who I wasn't thrilled...

There's no impetus for clubs to sell players early in the window, unless they're under financial stress or the player has a release clause.
