Gylfi, Williams, and Bernard are quite similar to Moyes types I'd say. He might not have paid £45m for Gylfi but he'd fit the general Moyes profile quite well i'd say. Sandro and Klaassen not so much.

Not sure mate, Williams was slow and small, Moyes tends to stick his CBs with pace - it's shy I think O'Brien will take Tarkowskis spot over the season.

Acting last minute is a very high risk strategy ofc but can work, in rare circumstances, can't do it with multiple deals though. Does limit the getting gazumped angle ofc. Partly think this window so far everyone is letting the CL teams throw...

Nah we'd kept tabs on him for ages - he was massively sought after, and the timing of the bid from us was very intentional.

Sometimes clubs can time a profile player last minute (Fellaini is a good example) to avoid inevitable gazumping, but we're needs must this summer.

Fellaini was more random chance when the Defour deal collapsed I thought.

Its why I felt confident Lampard/Everton would sign Onana over Moyes/West Ham. But the counter to that is generally, Moyes sense check on players is something we've perhaps lacked over the years.

Moyes for certain wouldn't have signed Klassen, Bolassie, Sigurdson, Williams, Sandro or Bernard. I'm pretty confident saying that too.
