That’s fair mate, he maybe exceeded initial expectations here. He was a good honest player in my opinion, but he had limits for me. Not intended to be a critisim really he made the best of the talent he had.

Ah now, that's not fair. I agree his performances were full of passion and effort but he surprised us all with his skill level being far above what we expected. Not that the levels were amazing in comparison to top class players, but amazing...

All effort mate, I don’t think anyone thought he was amazing, more I think people appreciated the effort within his limits which made him a bit of a cult hero ….like the Strauq.

My clear memory is that he amazed fans including me by playing well above what we expected, earning him the delightful sobriquet Zinedine Kilbane.

Sad news today with the passing of Ollie Horgan, a legend of the LOI. Fitting that the league delivered for him tonight.

I loved seeing him out there tonight, felt like we brought a bit of the beating heart of the club into our new home.

I know it was only Mansfield, but the skipper rolled back the years a little there. Looked fit, played with real intensity and desire as well, loved seeing him back in blue.
