Now the finances are still destroyed and he's left a squad which looks like a relegation fighting lopsided mess.
Their fans like Moyes and i think whoever told you that may be missing him.
I don't think he was overrated at Everton.
I think he did very well, worked hard, caused no obvious problems although playing for a team that was fighting relegation or close enough.
Would he improve us, of course he would.
The question is if...
O'Brien started enough games there last season. Done enough to probe he's more than capable. Quick, powerful and gets a goal or two. Put a credible RM in front of him and he's a more than steady pair of hands. Think Moyes probably agrees.
