How many players did we need to win the league back in 86/87? Think it was 18. Didn't we play more games that season than we do now? Why would playing in UEFA Cup put an extra burden on the players, who now earn a far greater sum of money, are far fitter and stronger.

I would never boo at a game. Nor would I ever leave early. Ok I've only had the opportunity to go to one game in 20 years (Fulham away this season) and was amazed at the amount of people who left 10 minutes early. Only takes a second to score a goal. Pretty sad.

Just treat the games as pre season friendlies. The opposition will be pretty weak.

Don't know why there isn't much young talent coming through in the prem at the moment. Don't think it's anything to do with foreign players coming in as youth academy's are seperate. In the past 5 years, I can only think of 3 young players at Everton who have suceeded, Hibbert, Rooney and Osman...
