For 2 days I'd recommend Vienna, Austria or Budapest, Hungary. It'd be a busy 2 days but you could cram most stuff in.

Luxembourg is a little dull and provincial. Tallinn and Ljubljana are nice and small, I'd recommend both for a 2 day visit. Any of the Baltic states is good or Gdansk in Poland. Romania or Bulgaria, too. I like Belgrade very much. You can't...

Albania. People are the best I’ve ever met but 2 days wouldn’t do it justice as there’s everything you need, from beaches to mountains, history and still relatively cheap compared to the mainstream European countries.

I am very sorry for your loss. It is a shocker losing someone unexpectedly. I went through something similar when my Dad passed. He was wheelchair bound and my Mom was his full-time carer with me helping out around work. He suffered a pulmonary... -
