If there's anyone who believes a firm of glorified ambulance chasers in Liverpool can sponsor a PL club to the tune of £10M p.a. I've got some land in Alaska I'd like to sell to you.
It's Everton FFS. Of course it's 'kin dodgy.
yes I understand that, the profit has to be shown as going somewhere on the balance sheet. Even at a headline £10m of sponsorship, there is £46m to divvy out. It seems that law is a very profitable business. (Goes to look at their share price...)
Shouldn't sponsorship deals appear in Everton's accounts also?
At first glance, it does sound improbable that a company with those turnover/profit figures would sponsor a football club to the tune of £10m per year. However, if they see it...
I doubt individual deals would be easily or explicitly identified in the clubs accounts but time will tell I guess.
As for the up to £10m PA from HD for the stadium, it does sound a bit rich imho, but there’s all sorts of variables.
I’ve said...
…
thats the 23/24 accounts, won’t be anything to indicate value of the stadium sponsorship until 24/25.
Even then it’s highly doubtful it would be outright listed. Might be calculable by any obviously significant jumps in some of the outlay...
Remember an RS friend saying he wouldn't go back to Anfield until Andy Carroll had left, I laughed cos he'd never been there anyway & has never been there since.
Deluded.
