    Limassol

@Bungle I near pissed myself reading that. It's bang on about ex-pats - the kind of middle-aged, homogenized Mail devotees that have lived in a villa outside Paphos for 10 years but don't speak a word of Greek, and spend their days sat outside the Legion taking three hours to drink a Magners...

Match Thread Everton v Apollon Limassol

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the league form; our European performances have been several levels above the dross on offer in the league so far (you only have to look at APOEL who have had an even worse start than us). As I mentioned on the other thread, you shouldn't have any issues...

    Limassol

I wouldn't imagine there would be that many. The club usually charters a plane for the "fanatics" so maybe 150 or so of those guys and then maybe a few Cypriots living/studying in the area.

    Limassol

Morning gents, You shouldn't have any worries tomorrow. We're a decent side and can knock the ball around but we're just a bit short on quality in the final third (by European standards anyway - our main centre-forward only scored his first goal of the season on Saturday). Also both our full...

    Welsh Apollon season ticket holder

Cheers for the welcome gents. Yes we do have pacy full backs and wingers, but don't worry - they completely forget they're supposed to defend as well. Technically we're a good side (mostly Spaniards, Portuguese, South Americans etc), easy on the eye and play high up the pitch, but we totally...

    Welsh Apollon season ticket holder

Morning all, I'm originally from south Wales (a Cardiff fan in a previous life) but have lived in Cyprus for a few years now. I have a season ticket with Apollon Limassol and also run a website called The Football Chap; I'll try to share as much as I can about Apollon and Cyprus in general on...

    British players going abroad

Interesting topic this: http://thefootballchap.com/archive/feature/brits-go-abroad/ Worth a read of this blog as well, written by a kid who was playing for a 9th tier side and decided to try his luck abroad when he finished his A-Levels. He found a club in Malta and talks about his experiences...
