Think Tarks is on around £100k (which many whinged about when he signed). And as one of the statistically highest rated and most consistent defenders in the league since we signed him, is worth every penny. Walkers peters is not near his level...

I’d consider taking him on loan again. He’s not great but would be an adequate squad filler. At the same time we need to reset expectations.

Can someone please confirm what the difference is between being in the mix, and firmly being in the mix? Sounds like we could even be in contention too if we can intensify our pursuit soon.

Disappointed but not surprised. Other teams including the 3 promoted teams are recruiting well on face value. We can’t tread water for another month otherwise we risk a slow start to the season again.

I’d rather focus efforts on more realistic targets. There’s loads of players out there.
