Does the quality matter if there is no substance in the links? The Friedkins seem to operate with less chatter, Alacarez was completely unexpected to the fanbase and media. I wouldn't stress about the links currently as they are being circulated...

I disagree about your Ndiaye underwhelming assessment as I rated him highly when he was at Sheffield United and wasn't put off by him having a bad season at Marseille. These are the types of players I'm happy to be linked with as they have points...
I agree to an extent but if we completely ignore previous form, we run the risk of signing more competition winners like Lindstrom, Harrison, Broja etc.
