Your food sounds great Anj.
Mum is bearing up thanks, my eldest lad is now down here so we were out for a family meal which was nice.
I'm returning home tomorrow.
On a more positive note my youngest daughter got a one for her masters at Ascot and will be starting her PhD at Edinburgh very shortly, we're all very proud of her.
Great news on your daughter mate. Quite an achievement.

Congratulations to your daughter. That is an amazing achievement. What's her subject?

Congratulations to your daughter, that’s quite an achievement and you are rightly proud.

Aaaghhh. 7am. I must still be on Greece time. ? Still, I probably have 3 lots of washing to do before my trip up to Liverpool on Sunday, and I won't be able to avoid a bit of ironing this time either. So an early start is probably needed.

Sam, the neighbours daughter, very kindly provided a few supplies for my return, which included a 2 pinter of milk. So it's cornflakes for breakfast for me for the next 3 days. Ungrateful bugger aren't I.

Need to see if my brother in law sorted my hotel for the Liverpool trip today. If he hasn't I could end up house sitting and Rosie minding at Jazzy"s?

Have a good day everyone.

Good evening folks. How is everybody especially you @larbert toffee. How's your Mum doing?
Not much to report today. Just made pasta and meatballs in a habanero chilli sauce. Spicy but lovely. Served with garlic bread.
Away to Liverpool on Saturday, looking forward to it.
Sounds nice Anj. Love spicy meatball pasta me.

How long are you up in Liverpool Anj?. Although I'm coming up Sunday I won't be in Liverpool until Tuesday. Is that too late to meet for a coffee?

As Kevin Keegan once said ..."I love it , absolutely love it when Mrs J puts loads of chillies in anything !"

Good luck with your visit. . I was in town today and it was looking mighty fine.

Popped down to BMD for a peek , its absolutely flipping shooting up.
I've been having a couple of slices of pizza for lunch the odd day and can't resist a sprinkling of chilli flakes over them Jazz. My lips were tingling all afternoon.

Evening all, just popped in to say we’re back from York. Had a lovely time. Just going to catch up with the thread and then watch All Creatures Great and Small on Channel 5, Mr G won’t mind me switching channels he’s just fallen asleep watching West Ham. lol
York again H? Must be the Viking Centre drawing you back?

I think this thread has been missing a bit of Hagar and Helga when I've been away.?

I've not been keeping up to date when I've been away LT. Have you had your dad's funeral yet?

Great to hear your mum is bearing up mate, but make sure you and the rest of your family keep in regular touch over the next few months. That regular contact with family and friends was one thing I missed after Cal passed, especially after her funeral. Your mum doesn't have GOT to turn too.

Edit. Fantastic news about your daughter too. You must be really proud of your children.

Good morning all on this dark and misty day here in Finland. So nice to have @Barnfred 55 back .Things will be a bit more lively now .I have had trouble with my IPTV which was my fault as it must be used with a VPN as it only works from New York ,so I decided to trial another and it has 17,000 channels from all over the world and everyone and more sports channels for any sport you can think of .It costs 30€ per year ,so I will see how he wants paying as it must be secure .
I cannot wait for Sunday and the match ,yes @jazzy I have seen the videos on youtube and it is growing so fast. I will be in the garden on Monday even if it is freezing .COYB
Bloody hell Blue. I'm not Roy Chubby Brown ffs.?

Funeral will not be until October Fred, my brother visits my mum every day and she has a home help in every day for an hour, there are two regular ladies and I cannot tell you how wonderful and caring they have been.
