RB Leipzig

And there we have it! Was to be expected after a shocking start to the season compounded with an ominous silence on the official social media account after last night's defeat. Despite brining in the first trophy in RBL's history last season it looks like Tedesco has been struck down by 2nd season syndrome again. Signs were there even before last season was finished after performances just stagnated. The frontrunner is Marco Rose (ex-RB system) but to me that's just another move back towards RB football like with Jesse Marsch and these players just don't seem to want to do that. Crucial times ahead.

RBL Matchday

Well well well, only footy on this weekend worth watching, it's Marco Rose's first game as RBL manager facing his former club Dortmund and I'm a little shocked it's not the 5.30pm game. There's always an air of excitement in me when a new coach comes in: will he change the formation? Will he drop/promote someone surprising? Will he lamp the fourth official? Either way it's the first day in a new chapter after a weirdly successful but also rubbish chapter under Tedesco. Dortmund are again hampered by injuries with Adeyemi, Malen, Hazard and Kobel all out joining Dahoudr, Morey, Bynoe-Gittens and the unfortunate Haller. However they are still second in the table and won 3-0 in the CL on Tuesday so in much better shape than the team in 12th today.

From the lineup submitted I haven't got a flippin' clue if it's sticking with the Tedesco formation (3-4-1-2) or a change to something more Rose-like (4-3-1-2). Hoping for the latter, expecting to be disappointed. Sometimes there's new manager bounce but these players are low on confidence so think Dortmund will win since Marco Reus always scores.

Game is LIVE from 14.30pm.

2-0!

FIND. THAT. GOAL. ON. TWITTER.

Not against the run of play now as Leipzig should really have 3 or 4 but finally they add a bit of cushion. It’s not been a perfect half with Forsberg, Nkunku and Simakan being average but Szobo just hit an unstoppable shot.

3-0

Should be game over now. Haidara, a player that thrived under Rose in Salzburg, comes on and gets his goal.

Some good performances, some poor, promising there was a change in shape. Onwards now to the CL.
