ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I said in a previous column how the city and the club are an organic process. Neither would have the reputation it does without the other.

Words really do fail me sometimes...

So a city that was the main import/export hub and second only to London in an empire that spanned a third of the world and isn't far off 1000 years old has its reputation based off the exploits off a fan base which has only been around for 40 years? Same fanbase that spent a large part of its time when abroad pillaging small businesses around Europe damaging the very reputation they claim to have organically grown. The same fan base that was responsible for 39 deaths at heysel, the murder of a bulgarian waiter, scenes of indecent exposure in Madrid, fifa officials being robbed in Athens etc etc

And they say we are deluded

what have we “meant to have done”?

and can’t this yellow for dirty van [Poor language removed]

be turned into a red?
Salah mural got daubed with the P word and other RS murals got defaced, as did the walls of the Hot Wok and the Goodison memorial wall. Completely classless stuff designed to rile up the fires for Derby day, that Gibbons blert seems to want more than a blanket condemnation from both clubs and a total vilification of our fans only

They got outthought and outfought in the derby.

Nothing to see here other than massive deflection from those facts.

The Dixie Dean statue was nearly sent into the stratosphere the Kopites had so much rockets on it; and they tried to burn down to the ground the iconic civic monument of the Liver Building because it holds Everton's HQ.

The utter 'kin brass neck on this scum is something to behold.

A classless bunch of spanners and oxygen thieves.

They are very much in a transition. Next summer will be huge for them.

This season I suspect they will still finish top 4 and perhaps win a domestic trophy but it will be difficult for them.

Klopp is trying to evolve. Yesterday’s line up enabled us to cause them big problems on the break. There is a real lack of athleticism in their midfield. Fabinho was always a bit one paced and now Henderson is on the decline. Milner is ready for the glue factory and might need to retire part way through the season. The cameo from him yesterday was embarrassing.

Elliot is an interesting one. He has a lot of footballing talent, technique and intelligence for a young player but is devoid of the physical characteristics required to succeed at the elite level in this high pressing era of the super athlete. When he was running back during our counters it looked like is moving through treacle. The only way for Him to prosper in their midfield is if the other two are extremely athletic.

Carvalho is a player I like and was gutted he went there but he is a 10 not an 8 like he was being played yesterday. He would have been better off staying at Fulham for a couple of seasons. He is not a natural fit for a Klopp team. Keita and the Ox need to be binned off as does that ? faced Jones who I think is a championship level player due to a lack of football intelligence.

And, despite seeing Pickford's tackle on St Virgil 325 million times - right up to yesterday, I might add - I've seen Van Dyke's assault on Onana once. I screenshotted because I doubt we'll see it again. The bias is genuinely shocking. So, one more time....View attachment 182022
I think Frank referred to that in his press conference yesterday when, referring to this incident, he said, "I haven't been asked that much about it in the media." If it had been the other way round there would by now be a massive campaign to punish Onana, The PL would announce a review, and Onana would quickly be banned for 3 games, warned about his future conduct, while St Virg gives interviews telling how he feared this was a repeat of Pickford's 'assault'.
