Baffled me when people categorically said he couldn’t play in a 4 like he would spontaneously combust.

Looked very solid in a back 4 tonight, as did Nathan Patterson. It confused me a bit, because I heard that neither of them could play in a 4.

Thought he was the better of the two centre backs tonight. Under a lot of pressure at points. Need better protection in midfield, the whole defence is having to do too much defending and it’s not comfortable defending - they’re being exposed too much. Something will give more often than not under that pressure. Hope Gana makes us a bit more solid in midfield and will make it easier for the centre backs.

Not a knock on Tarkowski, but he’s been our best centre half alongside Holgate this season, both haven’t put a foot wrong all season.

Lots of reasons for positivity.

Not surprised at all when we genuinely only have two actual quality centre halves... him and Tarkowski Godfrey, Keane and Holgate are average to poor at best, while Mina we can forget about. 4 at the back please!

I hope Frank was only playing 5 at the back because of injuries and lack of trust in other midfielders and with decent midfield additions coming we never see 5 at the back again
