Lad genuinely striker situation aside, what have you seen that suggests Lampard is the long term answer this club needs?

I think we're better than our points tally thus far warrants.

I think we lose v Forest and Brentford today if it was last season.

I've seen the manager identify weaknesses and put plans in place to remedy.

I think he's got an eye for talent.

Not one player under Lampard has gone backwards since he's been in charge.

I don't know what some people thought was going happen at the start of season.

He's inherited a squad of 5-6 different managers (Inc toxic mercenaries + injury plagued).

He's lost his best player, his only striker + 4 of starting of 11 in first 4 games.

He's using a new system + integrating new players.

He's waiting for players while the club try buy them on the drip, caused by years of gross mismanagement.

There's no big queue of managers ready to take over - Pochettino ?.

It'll take time to stabilise the club. Calm tf down.

We have been competitive in each match. Last season, even under Lampard, we were uncompetitive in matches.

You really believe on his 1st day we went over his head?

I’m fairness mate, that wouldn’t surprise me. Dele was 100% his signing, didn’t work out and that’s fine didn’t lose much money there.
He kept us up when we were in a hole

I think his work at Chelsea was very underrated. I think his teams are organised. I think he has improved a number of individuals in our side. I think he is a lot smarter than people give him credit for. I think he showed he is pragmatic enough to set us up in the best way to get results, even when it goes against his preferred style.

I also have always had a gut instinct that he's the right fit here. Nothing has changed my opinion on that. I wanted him here last summer when Benitez was appointed and I think.it was big mistake not to get him in then

The current context is also really important. Its not an excuse, its just reality. You can't win often at this level with such a total lack of attacking quality. Why were you expecting us to win games with these terrible forward options?

I’m Chelsea’s last nine managers, only Hiddink’s second spell has a lower win %.

I understand that he gets us , he speaks like a blue from town and calls out everything we’re saying.

I just think it’s naive to expect Lampard to be the saviour. And I would absolutely love nothing more to be proven wrong.

How many of those managers had a transfer embargo for the majority of their time as manager?

I think its remarkably naive to still believe changing a manager could fix the problems at thos club. If Ancelotti can't fix it then there is no miracle worker out there who can.

Players improve individually under Lampard, thats a big deal.

Alli also was clearly in the pipeline way before Lampard. It was announced like 2 hours after he became manager.

I dont think many people are optimistic at all, and I'm certainly not. But I think its just daft to think a new manager comes in and these players suddenly start winning. There are no quick fixes here and no manager can make these players win regularly.
There are bigger problems than him.
I am sure if given the choice he would have had a couple of strikers in a months ago.
He is inexperienced and it shows at times, but he needs time to learn ,unfortunately with us he hasn't had the luxury of being given time for learning on the job, as it has all been high pressure games for him,
if he loses a couple we are in the mire.
Hopefully he gets a few players in next week or he and us are in for a rough ride.
I am backing him because he deserves to at least have a go at the job for keeping us up last year, for that he needs the tools to do it, that's down to others.
Hope he isnt left to gamble on DLC being fit for the rest of the season by the shower above .
Next week will make or break the season and his future at the club.
