Based on our position last year, miss table is a sensible bar to be setting.

What does occur to me is if we play a front three of Maupay, Gordon and Gray, we are going to be set up for counter attacking football, the ball over the top with that kind of pace in the forward line would make high pressing teams think twice about their tactics against us. I feel we will miss Richarlison tremendously this season and we have to find a different way of playing.

8 goals in the Prem was T-28 last season and T-36 the season before for goal tally. If you look at the players above him on the scoring charts, you'll find that they either:

a) were on massive wages at a Sky 6 club
b) would command a hefty transfer fee
c) are older than God

I think any DoF (well, maybe not Woodward) that perused this forum would walk away shaking their heads and muttering, "Pearls before swine."

Hopefully a decent signing, we need team players. It would be great to get another Richarlison, who was the complete package of attitude, Workrate & talent. We need to say patient, already I see a more measured and thoughtful recruitment plan, whether it will work is another matter but a least they are trying.

We need to build a way of playing and then have a plan b. I feel the signings so far hint at that being possible.
