So I’m the only one who thought he wasn’t terrible? he Didn’t set the game on fire but I thought he was ok. Like 6/10
I mean, if he doesn't collect the loose ball and find Iwobi with composure (and the right weighting on the pass) when challenged, the goal doesn't happen. I'm not sure why people are missing this.

It's not like that was the easiest pass to make. I've seen plenty of players at this level flub that situation.

No I didn't think he was terrible, the trouble is the way he can be dangerous is to find gaps in between defenders and he pulls wide fairly often where he really can't do anything. Also when he's gotten the ball in those pockets he has yet to actually produce. That will have to come and I think it might with real forwards around him.

I just think he's got a long way to go if it is ever going to happen. Spending as long as he did playing in what frankly isn't a real attack at Burnley is going to have lasting effects that take awhile to shake. He's showing some signs already so I'm willing to give him some time.

I'd sell him if someone bid 50m though...

He also made the right decision which if you've watched Gray and Gordon play is not something that can be understated. It is very easy to shoot there and do the thing where you act remorseful and hold your hand up when you smash it out of the ground but he didn't and it mattered a lot.

Directly involved in the goal, but otherwise underwhelming performance knowing that he has it in his locker to whip it in dangerously and work the GK from distance.

The game was crying out of someone in blue to grab it by the scruff of the neck, but one miskicked shot and he let his head drop.

Flub - N American slang, to botch or bungle.

Thanks Martin for adding a new word to my vocabulary. I never heard of it before.

Every day a schoolday on here ?

Yeah, every once in a while you all spring a new one on me, even years later. And I started off pretty conversant with your slang.
