Alan Myers saying Ben Brereton Díaz refusing to talk about a new contract at Blackburn.

This one might happen as Blackburn may be forced to sell or lose him for nothing.

Maybe they don't want to take the manager's time until they know if a deal is possible? Seems reasonable that Frank isn't involved in every player discussion from the very beginning, or what's a DoF for?

….not saying it’s the case here but a DoF will bring in players without a green light from the Manager. I remember Klopp saying he was unconvinced by Mo Salah when he was told the club was interested.
