Fwiw he stopped playing for Preston because they knew he wasn't coming back and they switched managers to prepare for the next season early. It wasn't just that he wasn't good enough.

I think I have a pretty good understanding myself. For example I think a player who wouldn't start for Brighton might be worth selling for 45m.
