Yeah, I'm beginning to agree.Dave I think this is going down the toilet, TBH with him messing around like this I am uneasy about him coming here and we facing some thing similar in the future.
It shows a poor attitude.

If I had a name in an industry that had been blackened then I'd think myself very lucky to be getting a chance elsewhere. So apply that same logic to your own life. Would you walk away from 50-80% of a yearly salary cos a previous employer came back in for you?
That's besides the point. PSG is a hard nosed business. If they have a player over a barrel then they'll keep him there. One would imagine the time to claim that would have been at the time.
I would also guess that the Qatari royal family aren't exactly at the forefront of advancing LGBTQI rights.
Exactly this. To try and compare it to not wearing a poppy or not taking the knee is completely bizarre and to be honest quite offensive.
The mental gymnastics some are going through there to try and justify his signing are astonishing.
When your throwing your morals out the window just to resign a football player it's time to knock the game on the head.

I want Gueye in because I think he'd make a difference. And if he eventually does come then we can move on from this, I suppose.
But I dont see a case to be made for Gueye over this.
People shall not impose their values on others. If he does not want to participate in certain movement due to his religion then so be it. He is a footballer and all I want is that he plays well and improve the team.
His religious beliefs are exactly the same as others who follow Islam and they accommodate the gesture. He didn’t blacken it though did he, he privately ruled himself out of a game on religious grounds. Infact I think he actually told the club he was ill. I don’t agree with his beliefs but if PSG leak his private beliefs to the press what can he do. What he believes and the money he’s entitled to aren’t the same thing. Maybe PSG leaked the info to try and make it easier to get shut of him. Again I don’t condone what he thinks but so long as you have religion you’ll have bigots. I don’t think he’s ever even commented on what happened. I could be wrong like but I haven’t come across any statements from him.
Current affairs please folks
This is footie in here.

How many players have been suspended/find etc for not taking the knee should that not be looked upon as racist if not wearing emblems is now taken as homophobia?Yes, they shall.
If a player in a European team exhibits racist behaviour he'll get suspended / fined / sent for extra education on inclusivity. Not so with homophobia it seems. And homophobia is a pretty simple beast: it is simply the belief that a certain group is of less worth than the majority. Discrimination. One of the markers of fascism.
His religious / cultural beliefs are from the Bronze Age but he's spent long enough in, supposedly, more enlightened places to know better.
Of course, the overwhelming majority of Evertonians (as would any supporters, I think) will gleefully accept his signing. There again, the same majority would pimp out their grandmothers if it gave some competitive advantage to the team. I'm looking forward to the same supporters laying their socialist principles bare for the world to see in the Current Affairs board. It will confirm my suspicion that at heart, they are as Tory as the next man when it comes to advantage.
