Is a nearly 33 year old Gana with his baggage really worth all this hassle when there is not exactly a shortage of young up and coming all action defensively effective CM in Europe who can look to bring in, develop and ultimately make a profit?

I get he is arguably a safer short-term option and possibly a mentor for Onana but the more I think about it the less convinced I am that he is the best deal we could be doing.

Not at all.

Leave the homophobe in Paris as far as I'm concerned.

If this was happening with one of our players, we would be telling the club to let him rot in the reserves tbf.

It seems fairly obvious that Gueye has agreed a lower wage here, expecting PSG to make up the shortfall (which is common in football) but PSG have told him to ‘koff, which is honestly fair enough

The constant to and fro with the player rep/player re status of negotiations consuming time that could be spent elsewhere.

The inevitable media questions, alternative stories and growing fan noise/speculation that fills the ever-expanding gap.

Then if it eventually comes off having to deal with the reality that it has all given more time for both media and fans to focus on the negatives associated with Gana all of which lessens any expected feel good from the signing.

Looks like hassle to me but then, I’m just a child...

It's probably gonna be Harry Winks if we don't get Gana tho, I know which I'd prefer.

Because they’ve gone from red hot on Gana to lukewarm almost the moment Onana was signed.

I honestly think that's the press mate.

We have negotiated the deal at our end. PSG/ Gana need to sort out issues around the loyalty bonus. PSG may be saying, as he wants to go, he isn't entitled to it.

It's frustrating for us, and there may come a point where we pursue alternatives. I'm nort so sure on that though, he is a very unique type of player.
