Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning everybody. Feeling slightly delicate this morning so binned off the 8am gym session! What a fun day I had yesterday. Harry Potter golf, a cocktail making masterclass and a ghost bus tour of York (which was utterly bonkers but also very informative). All of this interspersed with more booze and food. I'll post some pictures later. Caught up on the match this morning - seems like we did OK in spite of the loss. However, what did we do to the footballing gods to deserve so mcu bad luck. Just read on the BBC website that Godfrey is out for months with a leg fracture and Mina could be out for a while as well.
Also catching up on all your posts. Not a fan of kidneys at all. Or liver for that matter. Not nice. Sassy- you've had an eventful time. I'm so glad you are being recognised for your work, but words don't put food on the table! (Sorry for being so cynical!) My boss recently nominated me for a Reward and Recognition payment. To be honest I don't agree with the scheme at all - I would much rather they used that money to give everybody a consolidated pay rise. He nominated me because of my high productivity, I regularly do twice as much work as the rest of the team. One of my team mates also got nominated. I hope you don't think I'm bigging myself up but he and I do about 50% of the work in the team of 11 people. Anyway the nomination got knocked back because we are "just doing our job". I want to say I will "just do my job" from now on and once I've hit the required target I'll stop - but I would die of boredom.

Loving Cal's idea of packing Fred. Fortunately Mr F travels very light so when we fly I usually get one and a half suitcases to pack all my stuff in. You have no idea of the stress I went through when we went hand luggage only for 5 days in Majorca! i was watching You Tube videos on how to pack. And tiny toiletries? Just no!

PhilM I hope you had a good day with your son in spite of the result. How old is he?

have a lovely Sunday all x

Cut the chorizo into generous slices mate. That will produce the lovely oregano/chorizo/olive oil sauce.
I was quite happy with my endeavours mate. I tried to replicate a ready meal for 2 that we used to get from Asda. It became a go to meal when neither of us could be arsed cooking. I did a pretty good job. Wasn't sure about the thighs as they were pretty much all bone and not much meat. Will probably use drumsticks next time, but otherwise was pretty good on portion size. I'm getting much better at that.

I only used half of the chirozo. Have you any idea how long it will last in the fridge once the sealed packing has been opened?

If you keep it sealed in the packaging, quite a while.

Well the packing has been opened and just has an elastic band around it.

The reason meats like that were cured in the first place was to extend their shelf life, so to speak. Once the seal of the sausage is cut, then the interior will begin to succomb to nature, but way slower than a fresh cut.

Its why I always but a whole chorizo sausage, with clips at both ends, not those pots of cubed stuff.

Genuine question: I've got three popadoms and some chutney tray stuff left from last night's Indian - is it okay to finish them off after I've had my breakfast?
Do you mean socially or health wise? Yes to both is my answer. Nothing better than left over takeaway the next morning! The chutney won't be off. If you had that yogurt stuff I'd be a bit wary of it unless it was in the fridge. Other than that go for it! Enjoy.

No mate birn in Walton School in Netherton I live in Spain
My son works for NZ rugby so we were at the Dunedin game
The ABs have problems !!
Big problems for sure.. the quality just isn’t there as before.. every team has to come off a high and it’s harder to generationally maintain those standards .. they were way overdue a slump

We have been berry picking again and at 67 my wife found a new berry ,the place was unbelievable may be 5 acres of bushes next to a lake with some rental cottages each with their own jetty to swim after a sauna .The berry was bog bilberry ,the guy who showed us the place said they don't taste of much but they are not poisonous ,which is good because I picked a few by mistake !
