Article on The Athletic this morning:

- 2 year deal will be offered to Gueye.
- Still want another midfielder after likely return of Gueye.
- Will push for a powerful, box to box midfielder. Onana liked, £30m asking fee an obstacle.
- Will target a versatile forward.
- Continuing to explore Borja deal.
- Mina & Gomes will be available at the right price.
- Broadhead (offered a new deal) & Nkounkou to move on loan.

The thing with any players available on frees is that they won't be match fit for long time. We need to just make sure that we have Gana in for Chelsea for some solidity and then make sure we get at least one forward in by the Villa game.

Who is Omaha?

The Broadhead thing must literally just be a case of Thelwell & Lampard wanting one last good look at him in the Championship. Can imagine he's on buttons anyway so +1 year won't be a big deal.
