That was my reaction, but then I realised he will be 27 at the end of the deal, so it's ok really. Giving 27 year olds a 5 year deal has been more the mistake we've made.

Possibly, but he's also the right age to hand out a long contract. It's not without risk, but it's better than handing a 5 year deal to someone almost 30.
