called out by Lampard for not trying hard enough in training - should have been told to go. Now we’ll end up paying a fee for him.

An embarrassingly desperate gamble.
If only his previous managers at Spurs had all said the same thing, it might have helped inform our decision making process and avoid bad signings. Too bad no one knew this secret........

When he was at the top off his game he played literally off Kane’s shoulder in a free role. everyone else did the hard work whilst he popped up with goals without really breaking a sweat. It seems to me the games evolved and the player himself is now doing work he previously never had to do.

Quite simply I don’t think he’ll ever be the player he was.

I think he's a product of the 4-2-3-1 era, and will always struggle to adapt to other systems that don't accommodate a one-in-three/four striker.

I've just accepted that we're stuck with him now, though. He'll end up triggering £30m of payments off the bench or getting hooked on 59 mins.

Yup, no doubt about it. He'll be here until his last pay cheque at the end of his contract, then sign for LA Galaxy or New York, living the life, millions in his pocket, as Daniel Levy posts a £25m profit on a lad Mourinho, Nuno and Conte couldn't do anything with. ?

People didn’t believe me when I said he wasn’t a creative player and couldn’t play anywhere other than up front right next to another striker, oh well you live and you learn.
