Not horrific for a first run out that.

No? Have to be honest I thought we were a terrible watch.

No real sense that the players can play that formation and highlighted that we have a pretty dreadful squad of players lacking quality.

Good to see tarkowski bringing his snideness over to us and Warrington looks like he can pass the ball semi effectively which is more than can be said of the rest of our midfield.

1st game , new formations ,everyone getting minutes, chance to look at the kids ( & Tarks ) . Typical close season freindly , its what I expected tbh.

433 and we need Tarks and Mina there. Then we get a six and some actual threat. We need a lot and it concerns me if this is the squad we play the first month with because it lacks creativity and the ability to hold onto the ball and create.

It’s defo gonna be 3 or 5 at the back for the foreseeable. I tend not to take much away from pre season games, but I don’t reckon he set us up that way for a laugh.

All this game proved is we can’t defend, can’t pass and can’t shoot

To be fair we were much better in the second half, albeit with Jesus & Saka being subbed.

All in all that wasn’t totally horrendous for the first pre season game. Always knew Arsenal would be too strong for us and already had a couple games under their belt prior to this.

Welch was turned a few times. Looked to be bad at decision making on occasion. For a big lad like him he needs to work on the mental side of his game a lot as he cam get caught flat footed. Mills did well, Warrington on the ball sharp. Tarky looked top level.
