I gave every player a clean slate. It’s only a friendly, but 6 of them already on my hate list.

How players who have got through years of academy squads without getting let go, training every day with elite coaches since the age of 6, given lucrative contracts can STILL not play football is beyond me. How said players can all end up in the same team is practically supernatural.

I wouldn’t read too much into the starting line up, we will make an abundance of subs, probably at half time. It’s the tactics that should be looked into. No improvement at all in what we are trying to do.

Enough with the preseason excuse, it’s a carbon copy of the last day of the season

It’s pre season mate, the RS got smashed by a poor United the other day, Leicester lost to non league Notts County, Brentford lost earlier to Stuttgart etc. The games are for match fitness

Mina should not be any teams “build from the back” focal point really.

Neither should Holgate , Godfrey, Davies or doucoure…if Lampard thinks those combination of players can build up from the back in this system then it’s worrying.

Probably because it’s our first preseason game and they’ve done no tactical work since being in the states

we should be passing to wing backs, wingbacks push up creating 4 in midfield

Arsenal are leaving their wingers high so if the wingbacks go they leave 3 v 3 on the CBs... they are literally pinning our back 5 by cheating, without our wingbacks we cant get out because as pointed out we cant compete 2 v 3 in CM. Front 3 may as well just go and sit on the bench, I`m more worried by seeing this and the way we are likely to play less Richy, we look like relegation fodder here, no 2 ways about it.

It might be with the right players but when you have relegation quality players just stop trying it, its pointless
