I gave every player a clean slate. It’s only a friendly, but 6 of them already on my hate list.

How players who have got through years of academy squads without getting let go, training every day with elite coaches since the age of 6, given lucrative contracts can STILL not play football is beyond me. How said players can all end up in the same team is practically supernatural.

Well, you can tell this is a team who've bought nobody and sold their best player since narrowly escaping relegation.

Honestly, we need to pay some absolute dross to hopefully build up some confidence. Unfortunately we look like picking right up where we left off last season.

We get the ball. The defenders have nobody to pass to, we lose the ball, they play two passes and immediately we’re back in our own third.

Two centre mids is suicidal with 3 at the back.

This formation doesn't suit us and because it's our first game we don't have any sharpness to deal with Arsenal's high press we need to be able to keep the ball better to play this. 433 is better for this set
