Transfer Rumour Morgan Gibbs-White

For me the price for Bowen is the price we should be looking to pay. That was 18+7. Once you get up to 30ish it becomes a bit too much. It seems silly to haggle over small numbers in a deal this size but we have so little leeway that we have to.

I like him a lot though and don't think his time at Wolves really revealed anything because he just wasn't playing with any regularity. Just going off that loan last year he looks like the type we should be chasing. I hope to see this get done.
But as a Premier League club we should be able to demand a fair bit more than Hull?

We need to keep the wages at a level that allows us to move him on whether it works or not. Pay a bit more up front if that is necessary.

We have a tight wage cap, and as you say we need to keep a watch on wages.

It's also for what you do if it doesnt work out. If you pay say 40k pw, you can always loan him out and potentially still sell him.

My opinion is £25m and add-ons to £30m will get it done and it's a fair deal all round in terms of valuation IMO, although I'd prefer him to sign a new contract with us.

What about £25m with £5m up front and the rest in add-ons spread over 35 years mate?

No. The value is the value regardless of where the player comes from.

PL clubs do this though which is why Everton lose so much money on deals. 25m is really the higher end of what a player bought almost entirely on potential should go for. If it isn't satisfactory to Wolves whatever, move on.

I meant more wages at 100k mate.

On fee, if weve bid 20m ish, can see us getting close to the above, but probably not the whole way. We wont pay him 100k pw though.

Seen two ask about the owners.

Yeah, they were, talked a good game for a few years, then it slowly started becoming we need to be 'self-sustainable'.

Many believe it's from the Chinese government, things stopped as soon as other Chinese owners were pulling out of clubs or reducing the money.

There's a lot of anger towards them at the minute as the prices are going up a lot each year but no net spend.
At least you never ended up with the muppet Chairman we got at West Brom

Our position is quite strong too, as we move towards the end of the window, and if he hasnt moved, it will strengthen us.
