He joined City for a price twice what Everton have paid for any player the last five transfer windows. He has not been good for City but will still probably be sold for an excessive price.

Clubs that play +60 matches a season can pay premium for a player that can cover multiple positions. A team that plays 40-42 matches a season and are looking for a first choice CD can not pay 10 or 15 million extra for players that can play out of position.

So you’d have Keane and Godfrey starting over Ake who starts for Holland and is in talks with Chelsea
