Linked this morning to Claremont striker Mohammed Bayo. The 24 year old Guinea international scored 14 and assisted 5 last season in a side that finished 17th. Plenty of teams credited with an interest it is believed Claremont want around £12m for him. Looks like more of a central striker than a Richarlison replacement

Again, exactly the kind of player we should be after. Looks talented. He’s the kind of player that other teams but for £15m and then we try and buy off them a year later for £35m.

Get Kean and Keane sold, Mina and Gomes too, and Davies. £25m, £15m, £10m, £10m, £5m.

We've just got £50m for Richi. Give the manager £100m to buy two strikers, a defensive midfielder, winger and centre half. Two of them can be on loan for all I care, but we desperately need to get the trash out, and some decent players in.

Mad how you aren't the director of football with moves like that.

It's a lot easier said than done, pal. For example, who wants our dross?

How on earth we're not linked with any central mids bar Winks?

We have Doucoure, Gomes, Gbamin and Davies as our only options in propably the most important position on the field.

What are this club doing.
They are not reading the papers and pouncing on any link posted on twitter by mostly made up accounts and made up stories. They know what is needed for the team more than you or I.

I’m the engine room of midfield we’re running a hamster wheel.

If DCL can stay fit for thirty games the attack will be much better than last season
Not so sure, he is coming of the back of a serious injury which could well impact how he plays in the future and he doesn't have Digne/James laying it on a plate for him either.

The sudden rush on links to pretty much central strikers that would cost anywhere from 20-30m makes me wonder if we are talking with someone about DCL (Barcodes).

If DCL does go, then Broja is a very good replacement for half the amount and with no worrying injury (the type that tends to have a history of being reoccurring) hanging over him.

Got the feeling we are hanging are hats in loaning in a holding/deep lying mid due to finances and will try loan in a central mid with goals in them (White or Gallacher) and try buy the other.

Gibbs White, Broja, Gallacher, Zinchenko all players which would add a huge amount to the team short and most importantly long term.

Think we are set at the back now in terms of incomings (may get a mid in who can cover fb)

Pickford
Patterson/Coleman Mykolenko/Godfrey(covering new mid)
Tarkowski - Keane/Mina/Holgate/Godfrey

So 4 at the back with

Up front it'll be DCL or a new replacement like Broja (possibly with a forward incoming who can provide cover like Richy could)

Wide left we have Gordon or Dele with Gray as backup. Wide right we have Gordon if Dele plays left or I guess Iwobi there. So maybe need one but we do have options

Central mid is the carcrash with literally no creativity, no defensive 'breaker' no goals, just energy in Iwobi, Dacoure, Allan (not last season)

It's incapable of playing a low block and it's incapable of playing a high press or possession game.

Need to God to figure out what we want and then recruit this summer a whole new midfield (supplemented by whoever we have who can fit into the system even as a kinda option (Dacoure with his energy and physically the most likely to have a role same with Iwobi)

But we have Gibbs White (can play as a 8 or as a 10) Gallacher (8) Zinchenko - again kinda a 8 but with years of playing lb whilst being naturally a left sided CM/am could be an option as that 6 who links the defence/attack together. All three are great additions, 'how' they'd work together or in part of the group we have I dont know, also who we'd need in addition to any of them is unknown.

I'm surprised Moyes didn't go for DCL. Good in the air but nowhere near prolific. An ideal Moyes type of attacker, that is.
